Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EAS) supports Development of a novel navigation solution for the KrattWorks ISR drone platform.
The topic of the project is the research and development of novel software capabilities for the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (or ISR) drone platform. The project deals with the development of an autonomous GNSS-free surveillance flight capability and identification of points of interest on the terrain using machine vision.

Support for the Digitisation Roadmap
The project aims to create a digitalization roadmap for KrattWorks OÜ, including a business strategy, mapped processes, and supply chain. It will identify bottlenecks and assess how digital technologies and automation can solve them. The roadmap will detail which processes the planned software will cover and how existing software can integrate. It will also estimate the cost, benefits, and impact of digitalization. The final result will be a strategic document with a budget and timeline, guiding the company's digital adoption.

NEW GRANT
Development of the ISR Ghost Dragon drone
PROJECT SUMMARY
The ISR Ghost Dragon reconnaissance drone development project will result in an industrially manufactured, modular close-range reconnaissance drone that meets the needs of government agencies operating in challenging conditions—primarily the armed forces, police, and emergency services. To this end, a motherboard, camera system, battery system, radio system, and drone airframe are being developed.
OBJECTIVE
The goal of the project is to develop an industrially manufactured, modularly designed ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) short-range reconnaissance drone called ISR Ghost Dragon 2.0, which meets the needs of government agencies operating in challenging conditions—primarily the armed forces, police, and emergency services.
RESULTS I The drone to be developed as a result of the project:
-
is mechanically significantly more durable than the first prototype and is suitable for mass production,
-
has a production cost that is at least half that of our current prototype (and today’s Western competitors),
-
is designed so that its assembly can be outsourced to companies offering electronics assembly services (important for a subcontracting-based business model and local production),
-
features a jamming-resistant communication solution and machine vision capabilities, enabling future integration into autonomous integrated weapon systems,
-
is resistant to electronic warfare (the radio link is very difficult to jam, and the drone can navigate without GNSS).
