KrattWorks KW270 VTOL is drone platform designed for long distance operations with various payloads.
It is designed to be easily transportable in a compact box. It can be assembled quickly without tools or fasteners in just 2-3 minutes by one person.
Transport box about 1 x 0.5 x 0.5 m (39 x 21 x 21 in) fits conveniently into the trunk of a SUV or back seat of a family car.
KW270 VTOL has a super large payload compartmenent of 250 x 160 x 130 mm (9.8 x 6.3 x 5.1 in) to allow the user to mount various custom paylods and sensors. Floor of the paylaod compartment is flat which is convinient for payload arrangement and installing. The maximum width of the payload cabin is 200 mm (7.9 in) and the maximum height is 160 mm (6.3 in) (can not be achieved simultaneously).
The bottom of the drone body is flat: it can be flown with or without landing gear and the landing gear position can be adjusted according to the payload position.
The drone is using well known and widespread components which can be easily replaced, thus keeping maintenance costs low.
